We provide a compelling role for a Waste Project Manager at a top-tier environmental services organisation to implement project management frameworks.

Your new role

  • Direct and execute high-level projects throughout the Treatment East Region (27 sites), handling client, contract, and regulatory updates like Simpler Recycling and ETS, while achieving on-schedule, on-budget results.
  • Establish and roll out a formal project management framework, converting briefs into detailed plans featuring precise schedules, tasks, and accountability, alongside consistent progress reports to executives.
  • Champion ongoing enhancements in Health & Safety, facilities management compliance, procurement, and vendor oversight, fostering greater efficiency and oversight region-wide.
  • Collaborate across finance, commercial, operations, H&S, and procurement functions to pinpoint risks, obstacles, and fixes, prioritising customer-focused strategies that align with operational and client priorities.
  • Advance sustainability goals by evaluating project effects on carbon footprints, leveraging data and cost models to propose optimised solutions that boost performance and ready the region for upcoming regulations.

What you will need to succeed

  • Hold a relevant degree with demonstrated success in overseeing multiple projects and programmes involving varied stakeholders, showcasing expert project management skills and consistent on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Possess robust operational experience paired with superior communication and leadership abilities, including proven change management proficiency and skill in assembling top-tier teams to transform strategic goals into tangible outcomes.
  • Exhibit a client-oriented mindset with sharp business and commercial insight, adept at spotting and mitigating risks, delivering practical solutions, and cultivating internal/external partnerships to foster ongoing enhancements and innovation.
